I've never done the whole "pick a word for the new year" thing. I've done resolutions and goals, but never a word. This year, I wanted to change that. I wanted to pick a word that would define 2013. I tossed around a few different options (relax, focus, sleep, etc.), but I finally settled on... Celebrate.
I want to celebrate everything this year. From the small things to the large things. I want to celebrate every occasion, every holiday, every birthday, but not just those typical celebration worthy things. I want to celebrate everyday life. I'm here on this wonderful earth, I'm breathing, I'm living, I'm healthy, and I am blessed. So very, very blessed. And I want to celebrate that! I want to get outside and soak up the sunshine. I want to take a spontaneous trip to the coast, or to Colorado, or maybe to New Orleans. I want to laugh more, love more, and live more. And celebrate every bit of it. Even in the hard times I want to find a way to celebrate.
Because life is more fun when you celebrate it. And besides, who doesn't love a good celebration, right?

Ooooo that's a good word. My word for 2013 is ..... QUESO! Don't laugh, it's for real. I plan on increasing my queso consumption this year :)

I hope you guys had such a wonderful celebration this past weekend! We were so sad to miss M's birthday, but I ended up sick with strep on top of working, so it was not in the cards apparently. We'll have to get together so we can bring her present to her, though!!!
