I was really impressed with a lot of the fashion this year, and equally disappointed at some. Then there were definitely some, "What were you thinking!?" moments.
I loved, loved, loved Ginnifer Goodwin's look! I think she pretty much always looks classy and stylish, so she definitely didn't disappoint. From the dress, to the accessories, to those shoes (love!), she was by far one of my favorites.
I also really loved Kat Dennings look, though I will say she looks a lot thinner. Not that it's a bad thing, but I loved that she rocked curves, and now she's rocking much less.

Jessica Pare looked so chic and sophisticated! And I love those bright lips!
Now, for my not so favorites...
Zosia Mamet... honey, no. Just no.
I had high hopes for Amanda Peet, because I love her, but she ended up looking like she forgot her dress and came out in a slip. Sorry, Amanda, I just don't like it.
Having Zooey Deschanel on my "Not So Favorites" list makes me a bit sad. I adore Zooey! And yes, I understand her style is "quirky", but this is like a badly homemade junior prom dress. I did like her hair though, and her nails were too cute!
What did y'all think? Who did you love and who did you hate? And who else loved the opening with Jimmy Kimmel crying in the bathroom?

I didn't watch the Emmys at all but I did look up the pictures last night and Ginnifer Goodwin's dress was my favorite by far. I also liked the looks of some of the younger stars - looking young for once. And Mayim Bialik - holy hideous dress, batman!
I didn't watch much at all b/c there were too many good football games on, but I appreciate the recap and the tweets last night! :)
I agree with your thoughts here and I love the first two dresses! Although I do kind of like that flowery one despite the fact it looks like curtains :)
Ah, I liked Julianna's dress-- but for the same reason-- it reminded me of the eighties...
I did not like the yellow/green dress Claire Danes was wearing. I know maternity dresses are, um, 'difficult', but the color was certainly not my favorite, and many people were wearing it-- Julianne Moore as well. Do others like this color?

I loved all of the tweets! The two reasons I watch award shows is for the fashion and the tweets! LOL
LOL! It's not completely horrible, I have seen worse!
I didn't like the color either, but to be honest, I didn't like the dress at all. I'm like you, I get that maternity dresses are "difficult", but it looked like Ariel's dress that she made from the sail in The Little Mermaid. (Please tell me someone else remembers that?) But Ariel's sail dress still looked better.
That's the main reason I watch!!
